Little Baby. Big Diaper.

We couldn't resist sharing this photo with you!

Heather Amon Harvey's little girl Grace is no match for her Little Beetle Little to Big Diaper from CGB!

Born only a few weeks ago (Grace was born 2.2.10), she's a peanut of a baby and so adorable in her cloth diaper!

Congrats to the whole family and keep up with those diapers - they'll fit her soon enough!

*Not familiar with the Little to Big? This diaper, which is the first and last diaper you'll ever need, keeps growing with your little one. Learn more here.

Josh Howard (of CGB's CSA!) launched Daughters and Sons Furniture soon after he made a bedroom set for his newborn daughter, Siena. He wanted something well-crafted, beautiful and safe for her...which he soon learned was difficult to find. Believing very strongly in high quality furniture, Josh created his own. And now, almost 20 months since Siena was born, Josh is handcrafting all this gorgeous furniture in his Charlton shop.

He uses lumber harvested either locally (from his own 100-acre farm in MA) or through distributors who practice fair wage principles. Josh also uses natural pigments and dyes for coloring, and all the finishes and topcoats have little or no VOC's.

Visit CGB to admire Josh's work and learn more about working with Josh to take home your very own handcrafted piece of furniture.

BPA-free baby bottles have been the norm at Salem store

Did you hear?

Jennie is featured in The Salem News today!

In an article titled "BPA-free baby bottles have been the norm at Salem store," Jennie discusses the new public health concern over baby bottles with the chemical bisphenol-A.

"The reason why I opened my store was I couldn't find anything natural. My store's always been BPA-free, phthalate-free, all-natural fibers," explains Jennie.

Photos from the Health & Wellness Fair

The Health and Wellness Fair was a great success! At the fair, we answered lots of cloth diaper questions and did TONS of baby wearing demonstrations.

Thank you to Keri (from gem and I jewelry) and Vickie (and her entire family) for helping me out at the fair! I couldn't have done it with out their help! And please note: Vickie and Gus are pictured above. Vickie definitely gets the strongest Mom award!

Also thanks to Wholefoods and Trader Joe's for giving me bags to add all of our vendor samples and coupons to hand out! And a big thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for setting us up in a prime location, outside of Mimi Maternity. SWEET !

Photos from Knitting Class

I've discovered Knitting is not for me. . . well for right now anyway! But we still had a great time and I can't wait for sewing to start! Interested? Classes begin this Tuesday and we still have 2 spaces left. Learn more!
