"Fewer days, longer hours"

Check out what Jennie has to say about a 4-day work week in today's Boston Globe article titled "Fewer days, longer hours."

And if you don't feel like following the link, here's the gist.

Some New England employers are trading longer workdays for four-day workweeks. It's the latest way to go green - no need for air conditioning, lights, electronics, or machinery. This translates into less energy-related overhead and a reduced carbon footprint. Jennie is intrigued by the idea of a four-day workweek. But, she added, she didn't immediately think implementing one would be good for a business whose customers expect it to be open seven days.

(And PS: Just for fun, check out Yakima's "Let's Make Monday The New Sunday" campaign. I'm all for it.)
