Home EcO

Crunchy Granola Baby is introducing a new type of class: Sewing, Knitting & Eco-Homemaking techniques for the modern woman in a green age!

These classes will be broken up into separate "blocks," each lasting for four weeks. No drop-ins. Max of eight students, so register soon! The cost of each four week class is $35.

And to kick off our new Home EcO classes . . . A Sewing Block!

You'll learn basic machine and hand sewing techniques to help you start creating unique and beautiful apparel, accessories and toys using repurposed and recycled fabric. No experience necessary. Classes run from January 20 through February 6, from 7 to 9 pm.

January 20 (Week One)
Felt Toy: Basic hand and machine sewing techniques. We will create a small felt toy. All materials will be supplied.

January 27 (Week Two)
Pillow Cover: Bring an old sweater or a piece of fabric that you would like to repurpose and a pillow that you would like to re-cover (or a new pillow form) and we will create a beautiful new accessory for your home.

February 3 (Week Three)
Baby Clothes: Bring a no longer used sweater and I will show you how to give it new life by transforming it into a baby jumper or pants and cute beret hat.

February 10 (Week Four)
Tote Bag: Bring any fabric you like and learn how easy and fun it is to make your own simple handbag or shopping tote.

Following the Sewing Block, we will also host a Knitting Block (February 17 through March 10) and an Eco-Homemaking Block (March 17 through April 7). If you're interested in taking any of these classes, please contact Jennie or Amy at 978.741.0800 or crunchygranolababy@verizon.net

Go forth and be creative!
