Magical Postpartum Pads
CGB is happy to offer a new kit for making your own pain-relieving postpartum pads!
The natural ingredients in these soothing pads will help reduce swelling and ease discomfort after childbirth. You can use cloth or disposable pads. (CGB recommends NatraCare as a disposable choice.)
What You Need:
- Overnight maxi pads of your choice
-Witch Hazel
-Lavender Essential Oil (not perfume)
- Aloe Vera (the edible liquid, not the topical ointment)
Directions:
- On each pad, pour 1 tablespoon of witch hazel, a dime-sized dollop of aloe-vera liquid, and 3-4 drops of lavender oil.
- Lay each pad in a freezer-safe bowl and store in the freezer (this way they will be cooling and formed to your shape!)
- Use as needed
[From Mothering Magazine, March-April 2010]
We offer all the ingredients individually, or as a kit at a discount.
Do you use any homeopathic or herbal remedies during pregnancy or after birth?
