A portion of the proceeds will be donated to an organization of the speaker’s choice.

PLUS: Participants will receive a Salem reusable tote bag (while supplies last).

Saturday, May 1 @ 2PM:

Green Speaker Series: Barbara Warren from Salem Sound Coastwatch

Barbara Warren from Salem Sound Coastwatch will discuss composting at CGB’s Green Speaker Series. Composting is a great green trick – create a natural fertilizer by “recycling” particular household waste. Warren will show us just how easy it is to compost, and CGB will be raffling off a compost bin! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Salem Sound Coastwatch!

Saturday, May 8 @ 2PM:

Green Speaker Series: Andrea Cohen from the film “Get To Know Your H20”

Andrea Cohen from the film “Get To Know Your H20” will discuss how daily water choices affect the world. While bottled water corporations are spending millions of dollars each year to convince U.S. citizens to choose bottled water over tap, Cohen encourages consumers to be curious and think critically about their daily water choices and how they impact the world around them. Cohen aims to teach the community of Salem about their watershed areas, and connect the viewer with the resources to find answers to other questions or concerns about their drinking water." We’ll also be raffling off a rain barrel! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ipswich River Watershed Association. www.ipswichriver.org

Saturday, May 15 @ 2PM:

Green Speaker Series: Julie Rose from Salem Recycles

Julie Rose from Salem Recycles will discuss recycling and provide games for kids! We’ll also be raffling off a recycle barrel! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Salem Environmental Fund.

Saturday, May 22 @ 2PM:

Green Speaker Series: Melissa Kaye from Healthy Homes Cleaning

Julie Rose from Salem Recycles will discuss recycling and provide games for kids! We’ll also be raffling off a recycle barrel! Kaye’s company Healthy Homes Cleaning serves the Greater Boston / Eastern Massachusetts area with a high-quality Green Cleaning service for your home and workplace using only all-natural, non-toxic products that are safe for you and the environment.

Healthy Homes Cleaning also offers home consulting for people who wish to detoxify their homes and their lives. We’ll also be raffling off a basket with non-toxic cleaning supplies and a gift card! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Massachusetts Youth Leadership Foundation.Learn more at www.massstar.org
