CGB Hearts Garbage

CGB is embracing garbage this week! We're kicking off our garbage lovin' tonight at 7PM at the Phillips Library Auditorium , with a free showing of the award-winning movie Garbage Dreams!

Garbage Dreams follows the plight of three young men living in the outskirts of Cairo in the world's largest garbage village. The men make their livelihoods by collecting and recycling the trash of others, but a multinational corporation threatens their lifestyle. The movie will be followed by a brief panel discussion.

And did we mention this Oscar nominated film is free and open to the public? RSVP at www.massrecycle.org/dreams.

And then on Saturday, be sure to wander over to St. Anne’s Church at 290 Jefferson Avenue for a Free Book Swap! From 10AM to 1PM, drop off or take books, CD’s, DVD’s and more! Learn more at www.salem.com/recycling.
